1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, then you are probably very industrious and thrifty, diligent and positive.
We will be celebrating our love for Chinese and Chinese New Year which falls on this very day. It is year of the Rat! If you were born in Keeping to Chinese tradition, we will prepare a range of symbolic recipes to ensure good luck for the coming year. Throughout the day, you will use a wide range of ingredients, knife skills and preparation techniques, so all in all a great culinary work out!
Here is our celebratory menu-
- Celebrate- Whole Chinese Duck cooked on the BBQ with a Double Glaze
- To go with- Winter Greens with Toasted Peanuts, Garlic and Sesame
- Increased Prosperity- Steamed Chinese Fish with Hokkien Noodles – Lunch
- For Luck- delicious little dumplings- we will turn this into a soup
- For Wealth- Little Spring Rolls filled with pork, prawns and Chinese mushrooms
Please bring the following to take your food home-
- A large sheet of foil for your duck
- 1x 500ml container for the Greens
- 1 x 1L container for Dumplings and soup
- 1 x 500ml container for the spring rolls
