KNIFE SKILLS CLASS

Following on from our Knife Skills Skill Builder classes, Angela has introduced a One Day Cookery Course which concentrates on everything you need to know about handling a knife properly and looking after it well. Every professional chef starts with knife skills training, and it’s important for home cooks to learn too. Learning to work properly with a knife not only gives you more control so you’re less likely to cut yourself but will also make you more efficient in the kitchen.
- We will start with a delicious Seasonal Italian style Soup with a zesty Gremolata.
- Then we will move on to preparing fish, de-scale, gut and fillet and make a simple Fish en Papillote with seasonal shredded vegetables, and spices.
- Then de-bone a whole chicken, trim, stuff and truss ready for the oven (you will take this home raw so you have the option to freeze it).
- Finally, we will make a classic Normandy Apple Tart with Cider.
- We will make a delicious lunch together of Vietnamese Pork with Coriander Rice.
Please bring suitable containers to take your lovely food home in. See you in class!
